What is HTML?

HTML are command codes that tell your browser how to display a web page. HTML determines how your website will look and function.

Why learn HTML?

Learning HTML will allow you to construct and maintain your website. You can make it the way you want, not the way someone else thinks it should be. In other words, it gives you creative control of YOUR web pages and you can make changes as often as you like. Best of all, IT'S FREE!

Why build a website at all?

Having your own website allows you to share with others your Petz, poems, thoughts, or whatever you choose. It's great whether you're listing a business, a club, or simply a place to share your family photos.

Who can learn how to build a website?

Just about anybody can learn. Learning html and building your own website from scratch is relatively easy! I have taught others the basics of html and I can teach you too. All you need are basic Windows skills and a desire to learn.

How do I get started?

Everything you need is included in the Tutorial Download. The download is a Self-Extractor file. When you double click on the Zip (execute) icon it will automatically make a new Tutorial folder on your Desktop screen area. Just follow the Tutorial's step-by-step instructions and you'll be making your own fantastic website(s) in no time.

Will you build me a website?

Probably not, my schedule usually does not allow the time needed to build you a site. I encourage you to build your own.

We offer this Tutorial as a Downloading ZIP file (you will need a compression program like WinZip to open this download).

We also offer this Tutorial as a Downloading EXE or Self-Extractor file. To open the EXE file double click on the Icon. It will automatically place the BASICS Tutorial folder onto your PC's Desktop (you do not need a compression program to open this download).
